Rockmountain is a much-loved family home. Whether this is your first visit to Islay, or if you are returning to this special gem, you will be very welcome.
Our house includes:
- 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed (no single beds), accommodating a maximum of 6 people
- Large open plan living room / dining room, separate kitchen, bathroom, second WC upstairs
- Designed by award winning Scottish architects, in a modern style, with a preference for natural materials (eg wood floors and worktops, slate roof)
- Driveway for 2 cars, about 1/3 acre of garden
- High specification with modern original art and furniture, linen supplied, underfloor heating and a multi-fuel stove
- ‘Freeview’ TV, wireless broadband (bring your own tablet), bluetooth into our stereo, DVDs, a selection of Scottish novels, guides and books about Islay
- Washing machine, drier, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, audio system. Crystalline water from our own well, set deep into the underlying rock
- Sorry, but pets and smoking are not allowed. Children are very welcome, and we have wheelchair access
